We had a lovely relaxing time, the hotel is in the perfect spot to explore all ot the surounding tourist sites chateau, villages, caves and markets.
Sara and Ian are very good relaxed hosts and are good company.
We enjoyed a day of cooking with Ian and the resulting long leasurely al fresco meal is a highlight of our trip.

We were the last visitors to Le Chevrefeuille, in the third week of October 2008. Ian and Sara were trying to prepare for a holiday for themselves in Spain, but they gave us every attention to meet our needs. They are perfect hosts, and once we have scrounged together some money (given the world's current fiscal situation, and my ever-diminishing share holding value), we would stay there again...(only sans garcon)!!!
We visited many fascinating places in the area, most amazing were the caves with their prehistoric "paintings". The market at Saint-Cyprien was great, and visiting the various local chateaux was a highlight.
It was so refreshing to be able to take walks in the area knowing that a cosy gite was there to welcome and embrace us at the end of each walk. The history of the area is spellbinding!
The facilities offered by Le Chevrefeuille/Ian and Sara we found second to none compared to other places we have stayed at in two four-week trips to France(the first 3 years ago)..I sincerelu wish that we had found Le Chevrefeuille 3 years ago!
We wish Sara and Ian every success in their ongoing running of the hotel, and hope that custom flourishes in years to come...I can safely say, "I'll be back"!!

The place is just perfect for those with a small family, it's situated in a beautiful and fantasticly relaxing quiet surronding area. We stayed in one of the spaceous and comfortable gites that was very well fitted with everything that we needed, it even had its own little private terrace which was equipped with a barbeque. Sara and Ian were perfect hosts and have a great knowledge of the ammenities and the surronding area. Ian's cooking is just superb and real value for money. Eating in the beautiful covered court yard area made the nights that Ian cooked on a really pleasurable experience. We all enjoyed the holiday so much, we have already booked another 2 weeks in 2009 and are also bringing our friends.

We are a family of 5 and had the good fortune to stay at Le Chevrefeuille for 3 nights. We would have loved to extend our stay! The owners Sara and Ian are wonderful hosts and will bend over backwards to make your stay comfortable.
The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and very comfortable, and the setting is absolutely lovely. Our 3 boys ages 11, 15 and 16 had a great time. There is plenty of outdoor space for playing and relaxing.
Ian is a great gourmet cook, and we voted our meal at Le Chevrefeuille as one of our best in France.
Location is great with easy access to all kinds of sights, and bikes are available for riding in the beautiful countryside. We do not have any hesitation recommending this B&B highly. We will no doubt make it our pick in the future!

We had a wonderful stay at Le Chevrefeuille. Sara's welcome on arrival was warm & friendly. We stayed 3 nights in the Breadroom - which was wonderful. We were fortunate enough to eat in one night & thoroughly enjoyed the great meal .

We have abslutely no hesitation in recommending Le Chevrefeuille as a base for touring & enjoying the Dordogne..

Great value for money.
