Very charming hotel...like I was expected. Nice big clean room and bathroom with nice & special shower products. Very helpful owner; he came upstairs with us to show the room and helped us reserving a place to eat for dinner. The only negative thing I would say is that the bathroom door didn't close tight. Gorgeous breakfast area to eat a fresh & confort meal. Lovely french music in background....what else could you ask.

We stayed in this charming hotel for nine nights in late August/early September. Accommodation is divided over two buildings: the hotel proper (incorporating the reception and breakfasting areas), which fronts onto the main street of the village, and an annex in a courtyard behind. Both are 17th-century structures which have been renovated to exceptionally high standards. Our room was very comfortabe, spacious and spotlessly clean. It also had wonderful views across the vineyards to the ancient castle of Clos de Vougeot. Breakfast was a joy - fresh local produce (bountiful varieties of bread, pastries, yoghurt, meat, jam, cheese) served from a buffet. Alain, the proprietor, welcomed us warmly each morning, and was a font of information on places to eat and sites of interest in the locality. Vougeot itself is a tiny village but the larger towns of the Cote d'Or (Nuits St. George, etc) are within easy reach, as are Beaune and Dijon, and Lyon is a day trip away. We were fortunate to arrive at exactly the time that the grape harvest was beginning and there was a hive of activity with pickers in the fields and bizarre-looking tractors jetting along narrow country roads. Our long stay appeared unusual for the Hotel de Vougeot - most people seemed only to stay one or two nights - and by the time it came to leave we seemed like part of the family. Alain gave us gifts of local jam and vinaigrette when we were departing! I could not recommend this establishment more highly and don't understand why more people do not make this their base of activities when in Burgundy.

Comfortable, modern rooms at the centre of one of the finest wine regions in the world. Well managed by two gracious hosts who serve wonderful breakfasts with local products. Overall, very good value.

A wide expanse of vineyards ended at the window of our room. Nearby was the historic castle Clos de Vougeot.

You'll find a number of dining choices in the neighbourhood along with countless wine merchants.

I loved this hotel. We had a big room with a view of the vineyards. The best part though is a patio in the back of the hotel that puts you at the feet of the vineyard. It is a beautiful spot to share a bottle of wine.

The hotel felt more like a 4 star hotel.
