My husband and I dined here on Sunday evening. We started our special night out with the Blue Point oysters, which were very good. My husband order the prime rib specials dinner (starter, entree, and dessert for $45) and the specials wine (glasses of 3 different wines for $15). I ordered the roasted beet salad, lobster, and lobster mashed potatoes. The French onion soup was wonderful, the beets in the roasted beet salad were not flavorful, but the cheese was very good, the prime rib was outstanding, the lobster was dry as if it was baked, the asparagus was delicious, and the lobster mashed potatoes were the best, the creme brûlée was divine.
The service was exceptional.
The prices are very high for New Buffalo. This restaurant must cater to people from Chicago because the prices were more in line with the restaurants there. Fortunately, there was enough food to feed 6 people, so we took most of the entrees and the lobster mashed potatoes home and had them for dinner the next night.
