We were looking for something other than a typical chain restaurant and noticed El Potro as we drove down Highway 169. We were seated quickly and ordered Margaritas, which were a nice size and quite good. The service was prompt and very friendly, and our orders came out quickly. My wife ordered taquitos, which had enormous chunks of delicious white meat chicken. I had a combination dinner of an enchilada and burrito served with refried beans and rice. All were very good, and I was glad to find the refried beans had substance to them as opposed to the runny style you often find in other restaurants. El Potro is family friendly and is a good choice if you are in the mood for tasty Mexican food.
