“Disappointing”

The Marquette

11 Jul 2008

Hmmm, what can I say? No specific problems, but for the price we paid I'd expect warmer staff and a bit more help from the staff when organising our trip. Yes, it had a biggish room with a huge TV and bath robes, but still it wasn't worth much more than the Americinn, Baldwin, WI. where we stayed the next night.

Can't think what the big deal is about this place. It's just another soulless, expensive city centre chain hotel.

Stayed at The Marquette for a weekend in June for a wedding in St. Paul. Used my Hilton points for the stay and was very pleased considering the other hotels downtown would have been the same amount of Hilton points too.

Got upgraded to an executive level room on th 15th floor. Huge rooms. Nice lighting throughout. Large bathroom with walk-in shower and rainshower head. Bed was super comfy. 42" flat screen TV also.

Staff was very nice and professional. Parking is reasonable at $12/day on the weekends with in and out privileges. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed at the Marquette hotel in Minneapolis for the second time this past May. We can not say enough wonderful things about the hotel. While booking, we had a couple specific questions/requests that we made to the hotel via e-mail and received a personal phone call back to make sure our needs were met. Upon arrival, we were greeted and directed to our room promptly. We had a suite and though it was just myself and my husband, felt like we had room for 10 people. The room was clean, furnished well, and inviting. We had room service the next morning and the food was unbelievable, better than any hotel room service I've ever had! Check out was easy on the television. Besides the actual hotel room being great, the location can't be beat for downtown attractions. We can't wait to stay again!

Booked on priceline $60 a day offer was accepted. Nice hotel clean large rooms. Walking distance to Metrodome, Target Center, restraunts and bar scene. The only problem was that we need 2 rooms with 2 beds in one room and two beds in the other. We got one room with a king bed and upgraded to a suite with two beds for $30 a night. Suite was real nice. It had a sepperate living room with couch and flatscreen TV. The bedroom had a flatscreen too. I would recommend this hot.el

I stayed at the Marquette this past weekend. I was only there for two nights, but I must say I very much enjoyed the hotel. The service was great. I had an executive room and it was huge. The bathroom was spacious and the room was well-appoint. The hotel is centrally located, near malls and dining establishments. I would definitely stay there again when I return to Minneapolis.
