Just got back from this hotel.
I booked the govt rate and they upgraded me at check in which was nice.
The hotel is kind of ugly... it appears to have been built in the 70's as it has a 'Brady Bunch' feel to the design. Smells like my grandmothers attic. Not really bad or anything, just musty.
My room was in a corner. Aside from the decent bed, the room was old. The marble in the bath was REALLY old, yellowed badly and had some sort of refinishing laquer on it as a 'new' surface. No plugs in the room, poor lighting.
A window in my room was so dirty you could hardly see out of it.
I went to the Club Lounge and there were snacks. Nothing much, some cheese, salami and hot mini egg rolls.
I went back this morning and they had fruit, cereal and such...
It was pretty clean, certainly acceptable but should not be rated #1 in Minneapolis!
It is a old, unattractive hotel with new beds... and a nice staff.
I will not stay there again. There are new hotels nearby that are considered moderate, like Country Inn/Suites that are 100x nicer at 1/2 the cost.
