Clark House is a spacious, restored 1850's house -the oldest in Clarksdale, heart of blues music in the Mississippi delta. Quiet location within 10 minutes walk of downtown and the blues sites. Innkeeper, Billy, very helpful and friendly; great relaxed atmosphere, house very clean, good parking, plenty of hot water. Continental style help yourself breakfast - with fresh fruit!

Room tip: The website shows all rooms - very good

We were really curious about this stay and it took us by surprise. Such a lovely historic house and such a special place to stay while in Clarksdale. The pictures on the hotel's webpage does not do it justice. We received a lot of information about our stay in advance and check-in went smoothly. Wish we could have stayed longer, I could totally just hang around in the house the whole stay. Chilling on a rocking chair on the porch and enjoy the beautiful livingrooms. A must-see for "hotel-nerds" :D

The manager Billy eets new guests and checks them in and shows them their rooms and then leaves them the run of the place. Breakfast is laid out in the kitchen and you just help yourself as if you were at home. There are complementary cold drinks in the fridge. The house is lovely and our room in the annexe was very comfy. The house is well located for the night spots in Clarksdale.

Our stay was a quick one night weekend and stayed here after reading reviews. It was everything the reviews said and more. The Big Daddy room is huge, comfortable and a destination in and of itself. Billy, our host, had our keys waiting on us, made sure we knew where to go and stayed in constant contact via txt with tips and answered any questions we had. His passion for the house and his community make him an excellent host. We ate tamales at Larry's, BBQ at Abe's, and jammed to the tunes at Ground Zero, Red's and the Pink Bar. Treat yourself to a night or two at the Clark House and see what Clarksdale, MS has to offer!

Stayed in the Magnolia room which is separate to the main house. It was perfect for what we wanted. Very quiet and private. The room was simple but nice and comfortable. Did not see much of the main house. As stated in other reviews, the breakfast is self serve continental with no frills.
Billy was very nice and helpful when we checked in. Gave us info about the town and what to see and do.
Within walking distance of most of the town's attractions. We walked to Red's Lounge in the evening which was about a 15 minute walk. Felt safe walking back after midnight.
Will look to stay here again on our next trip to Clarksdale.

Room tip: If you like privacy the Magnolia is a great room.
