I kind of wish it could be kept a secret, this very special and unique resort near Troncones. But it wouldn't be fair to the wonderful folks who own and operate this delightful place. We were invited to join good friends of ours there who were visiting for their second time from San Miguel Allende. They traveled there with about 8 other couples, so most of the place was occupied by people who knew each other, although other guests were present as well.
The atmosphere was truly refreshing, from any other places we'd stayed. Very relaxed and quiet, yet pleasantly social. The beach was beautiful, grounds and pool extremely well kept and lovely. We stayed in one of the apartments with our friends, but the bungalows that we saw were nice, each with thatched roof covering a nice front porch with a view of the ocean.. The fixtures are simple, but adequate, and the staff is all very responsive to anyone's needs.
The restaurant and staff were wonderful as well. Everyone there seemed eager to please and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. The menu was very adequate, and well prepared and nicely served. The 'weekly menu' provided a nice variety of special dinners. We ate elsewhere only one night while there for a week.

It is a place I would love to take my whole family. I was told that the older teens would likely enjoy trying surfing, as it is supposed to be a good place to do so. We enjoyed a kayak tour in the nearby lagoon, a good place for bird watching and enjoying the beauty that surround the old cocoanut orchards.
It was a kick to watch the fishermen drag the boat to the waters edge each day with their truck, and return it to it's spot by the palms each afternoon!
We will definitely go again. Kudos to Mike and Laurie and Benito and the wonderful staff for making this such a very special place to remember.More
