Our first stop on our trips to St Louis is Forest Park. There is so much to enjoy in this park which is larger than NYC's Central Park. Be sure to take in the Missouri Museum which displays a permanent history of St Louis and a great display of the St Louis World's Fair, which was why the park was built. Also, try to go when the Lindberg Treasure is on display, it includes all the gifts given to Charles Lindberg following his trans Atlantic flight. The SLAM (St Louis Art Museum) is another mist see, located at the top of the reflecting pool, and offers a great selection of European and American art treasures. There is also the St Louis Zoo and the Science Museum, located across the interstate highway but accessible from the park via a skywalk of the roadway. The park offers a full day of activities for families and travelers wanting a day of informative activities. The best part of the visit is this, all museums and the zoo are tax payor supported and free to the public (donations are accepted and some traveling exhibits do have a fee) so enjoy a day at the park, you'll come back again!
