This is fairly rugged DAY hiking, but any seasoned hiker will know what to do as far as carrying the 10 essentials plus plenty of water, hiking poles, sturdy boots, sunscreen, sun hat, insect repellent, maps/GPS, etc. If you like off-the-beaten-path hiking and very few people this is the place for you. Some of the trails we were on weren't as well groomed and graded as we're used to in Oregon, but honey, you're in the Wild West when you hike in Nevada!
We actually did the hiking in July 4 years ago, but this website didn't give me the option to put the correct date we visited.
