“I loved it!”

Having read Tripadvisor, we got our tickets 1/2 prive from Fashion Show Mall. Before we went in, we had lunch at Quarks bar. It was a little bit on the expensive side, but how many times are you gonna eat in a 'starship' restaraunt, complete with Ferengi and Borg?

We went through the display, and on both rides and even had our photo taken on the bridge of the Enterprise. I really liked the Borg invasion as they had 'Borg' actors interacting with the crowd.

The gift shop had all kinds of stuff, ranging from tribbles, shirts, star trek uniforms to keyrings and signed pictures. You can even buy communicators and phasers on site.

If you are even remotely interested in Star Trek, go and visit.... I am not a big a fan as my huband - but I really enjoyed it!

There are 2 rides. The Klingon ride features ST: TNG characters and the Borg ride that features ST:Voyager characters. The Klingon ride is a simulator based ride while the Borg ride is a 3-D film with some physical effects.

The employees guide you from the waiting line to the rides by taking your group through several sets depicting the trasporter room, the bridge, elevator and corridors of the Enterprise and spacestation. The guides get to act a little as they take you to the ride itself. I enjoyed this transition to the rides more than the rides.

The museum part is scattered through out the lobby, cafe and the waiting line in the form of props, costumes and models with supporting text including timelines for the different ST variants.

One can obtain half price admissions at booths that advertise half price shows. I purchased the Star Trek All Day voucher at tickets2nite for $19.50 instead of $39.50 at the entrance which covers admission to both rides. After one purchases tickets at tickets2nite, they put a coupon with the tickets that allows returning customers to use a usually shorter "the A-list" line that cuts some of the waiting time. So if you see someone who just bought their tickets, you could ask them for their coupon and bypass the regular line and use "the A-list" line instead.

At 1/2 price, I thought it was worth it but would have been overpriced otherwise. I also felt that the souvenirs were overpriced as well but I guess they need to fund themselves somehow.

Visited the Experience twice before, so a return suggests we liked the product. Sadly, an embarrassing fault with Klingon Enounter got us off to a bad start. Maybe the original ride is worn out like much of Las Vegas ? However, whilst the Backstage Tour was OK, along with everything else, much too expensive. It's not good enough that going to some half price booth is considered a solution to blatant overpricing.

Decided to go in as was just having a wonder around that end of Vegas, got to the cash register and it was $ 39 each for 2 of us, only ended up doing the Klingon encounter which was ok, nothing brilliant, had food in Quarks which made us feel ill so didn't bother with Borg invasion. Annoyed myself that we had not got some cash off vouchers from our hotel magazine but went in as we didn't see the need to wander all the way up to the Hilton again, like I say its not good value for money unless you have money off voucher, when you think for $39 you could spend a day in a theme park in florida !!!

Visited the ST:E at the Hilton on Aug. 7 with my girlfriend (both of us enjoy ST on TV. We bought tickets at the Tix4Tonight booth at the Fashion Show Mall for 50% off. We ended up buying the backstage tour for another $20 (total cost: $40 each).

Large replicas of the Enterprise, Enterprise D, Voyager, and a Klingon Bird-of-Prey hang from the ceiling. A ST timeline along with a museum (with actual props used in the many shows and movies). As you walk through the exhibits, you get to a lineup of the 2 motion simulator rides: Borg 4D ride and a Klingon motion simulator ride. I preferred the Klingon ride but my gf, who suffers from motion sickness, preferred the Borg ride (she was more of a Voyager fan anyway).

I can't say too much about the backstage tour (we took an oath!) but you do get to spend a lot of time on the bridge of the Enterprise-D (AWESOME) , with the ability to sit in all the different chairs and play with the (non-active) electronic panels found on the bridge.

We finished off our day at the Experience (about 5 hours) with dinner at Quark's Bar, using a gift certificate from restaurant.com. The drinks were very creative, but the food was just OK.

Actors roam the entire space in character. We took pictures with a Borg, Klingon, and Andorian. I was looking forward to the Ferengi, but it was his day off.

All-in-all, worth it after the 50% off discount, and being a huge Star Trek fan, I would have paid full price anyhow, but definitely, DO take advantage of the offer at Tix4Tonight.
