Booked 3 nights @ $49.00/night which is a great deal for a hotel on the strip. I had specifically requested a renovated room, king bed with a strip view away from Carnival court (pool side). At check-in we were given an older room on the 3rd floor with 2 queen beds on the noisy pool side. After some negotiating, we got a renovated room, strip view wth 2 queens as there were no king bed rooms available. The room was clean, nicely decorated and the beds/pillows/linens were very comfortable. The room had plasma tv's both in the sleeping area and bathroom. The view was great (room 1508).

Only complaints:
1. We could hear all conversations/tv watching, etc in the next room. Luckily the people next door weren't in there room too often, or at the same time we were.
2. There was very little space for storage. We had to keep most of our items in our luggage...and we pack light! The mini bar takes up a huge amount of the cabinet.

We stayed at Harrah's in Vegas for the first time, and it was great. we were there for sat thru wed, and had a great price. We arrived very early around 9am to the hotel and took a chance at getting a room early, the lady at the front desk was very nice, got us booked in and sent us over to someone who could pull some strings. The nest person to help us was great as well, she found us a great room with strip view, it was clean and smoke free. some people like to complain about little things, but everything was just fine. Had a great stay. They have a good Poker room with good management, dealers and tournaments. Great location, can;t beat it for the price.

Everything about Harrahs was great!! The location, gambling, bars and entertainment. We really loved Carnival Court and all of the shopping around it. If you like country music the Toby Keith bar has great bands. The rooms are very spacious and service was great.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else but here. For the price you are getting everything you need and more.

Well, my girlfriend and I just returned from a 3 nite stay at Harrah's. I'm not sure where to start. Yes, location is probably best on the strip. It's central to everything and if you don't want to walk it has the monorail located on the 2nd floor. Check in was pretty fast, much quicker than Ti or Luxor. We stayed in a Mardi Gras tower room, which I requseted at the front desk. Pros on the room: It was pretty clean, Tv in the bathroom and close to the main lobby. Cons: Only cons I can think of is it is very loud next door until 2am & the room is on the small side. My girlfriend was FOOD POISONED at the cafe (bacon was no good) and I did not like Toby Keiths Bar and Grill, the sandwich I ate bothered my stomach for 24 hrs. During check out we mentioned that my girlfriend threw up for nearly 20 mins and was asked if everything else was okay. Very POOR service. I strongly believe that anywhere else would have done something, anything to make up for the bad experience.

Quick info on Vegas... It's changing right before my eyes. Maybe for the best or maybe for the worst, depending on the person. I could not believe I saw Trump's name on the Las Vegas Strip, it had me scratching my head. All the new condos/casinos that are being built as I write this is simply amazing!

I will be going back to Vegas in the upcoming summer or possibly the fall just to see what's new. I've been to Luxor, Ti & Harrah's and plan to try out either NyNy or Monte Carlo and someday would love to stay at either Wynn or Venetian.

Returned after a two night stay at Harrah's November 13-14, 2007. What the hotel lacks in ultra modern Vegas style, it makes up for in service, staff, and especially LOCATION!!! Love that it is across the street from The Forum Shops and Caesar's Palace - you can walk everywhere from here. In the middle of the action. We had a room on the 16th floor in the Mardi Gras Tower. The view was incredible looking out at Caesar's, Mirage, Treasure Island and beyond to the mountains. Spectacular. Could not have been better. The Mardi Gras Tower is nice because it is so close to being on the strip. Not a mega walk like so many hotels in Vegas these days.

Granted, the room is small - okay for two, but I would not want to put more than that in it. But the amenities were nice. The maid service was excellent and room spotless. The staff could not have been any nicer. We were treated like high rollers.

I would definitely return to Harrah's. If the price is right, don't hesitate. It is 10 to 1 better than Imperial Palace - so if you can get in that price range - definitely choose Harrah's over Imperial Palace.
