We stayed at the Strat for our honeymoon in Oct 09 and really enjoyed out stay. Didnt win a darn thing, but thats how it goes! We highly recommend Fellinini's Restaurant over Top of the World, prices are waaaaay better and the filet mignon was butter tender! AWESOME...the rides at the top of the Strat were great, Roxys Diner was awesome...Luckys was okay, service was slow. The room was very nice, large, we were on the 8th floor with a view of the casino roof, I think, and the strip. Recommend a higher floor. Pools were closed almost half our stay due to inclement weather (77 degrees???) lol...but were from MI so thats warm to us! The pools were nice though. Overall great stay...BUT next time were in Vegas we are staying somewhere mid-strip because it was ALOT of walking and a $25 taxi ride to the south end casinos. The duece is good though only $3 per person one way or $7 all day per person.

first time in vegas, with the wife and my 14yr old daughter great holiday hotel very good ,very clean and tidy pool area great even the pool bar staff very good looked after you.even downstairs in the casino ,kids not allowed near tables and slots but my daughter never got asked to move.eating wise only 1 meal in hotel at luckys great meal, but for breakfast we went to dennys at the back of hotel or the ihop ,5 mins walk from the hotel both pretty cheap and coupons in the magazines you get everywhere for money off for meals.didnt try the buffet, not big eaters.traveling vegas go by deuce bus 3$ oneway or7$ 24hr pass ,taxis cheap but mount up stop start.did all the strip but found it seady in places with mexicans giving cards for girls to your hotels they hound you.even to women.did fremont street fantastic with the light show and the free shows,go to the california for something to eat, starter primerib dinner and a pudding for 7$ a person we went twice great value carnt go wrong.on the strip ti show was good then the fountains of belgegio and the volcano at mirage all free shows would recommend but their is always something going on on the strip great even for people watching, will go back to vegas in the near future but instead of getting a package holiday will just get flights and get accomidation when we get their because you can get great deals..on hotel rooms even for the 5 star hotel wynn and encore...mr j p hooley batley west yorkshire england....

Old, worn, dark, depressing, odorous are the overall adjectives that come to mind when I think of that hotel. The worst part for us was the small, inconvenient window in the room. When checking in we were asked if we would like to pay $20 extra a night for "60 square feet" more room and free entrance to the tower. We were told it would also put us on the 21st floor versus the 8th floor. We paid the extra. Upon arrival to our room we immediately called the front desk and asked to have our room changed. We were unhappy with the small window and extremely claustrophobic feel of the room and the bathroom. (the bathroom was so small that the sink was in the living area) We were told by the front desk that all of the windows in the hotel are that size so moving would not make a difference. The next day we found we were blatantly lied to as we passed open rooms on the 8th floor that had large windows and much larger bathrooms. Luckily we were only staying 2 nights. There is no coffee pot in the room. The extremely tiny bathroom floor was sloped downward from age so that you feel dizzy when you are sitting on the toilet. As frequent travelers looking to find a deal, we have never ever stayed in a hotel of such poor quality. We planned on spending an entire day at the spa but seeing the quality of the hotel we decided against it.

Hotel is decent. Good value for money. Nice buffet, great pool. The tower bar and restaraunt is lovely. Rooms are basic but clean. It is a 15 minute walk to the fashion show mall 10 mins to the start of the strip. Worth it for the savings. We walked back at 3am a couple of nights and area was busy and safe. Close to Freemont street and the Premier outlets.

for the price, it was a fairly decent hotel. the bed was clean and comfortable. the room was kept tidy though i'm having doubts with the carpet. we stayed in a premier room, a few bucks more than the most basic room. i don't think there's any difference with the basic room, the view perhaps? we had a view of the strip, or rather what's left of it coz we could see more of the obeservation tower. check-in was a breeze and staff was efficient and courteous. dining options were above-average and if those were not enough, they have a mall area at the tower with fastfood options. this hotel had a tour lobby which was great, as you don't have to wait outside of the hotel (like some) while waiting for your tour bus. you could also use the fitness center for free which i appreciate. all in all it was not bad.
