After a long absence and despite some negative reviews we booked three nights to attend a Celine Dion concert across the street at the Colosseum Theater. To say it right up front, we were pleasantly surprised and will stay here again at our next visit ,
We requested the North Tower on check-in and were given a 400 sq.ft room, larger than a suite in some other hotels on the Strip and big enough to have friends over for a party. The king size bed was very comfortable, and the room on the 7th floor was as quiet as a church, making for a good night of sleep. A shortcoming is the absence of a coffee/tea maker in the room, forcing one to trek to the lobby for a cup of eye-opener. Although the hotel was very busy, the elevator system is simply amazing, one rarely has to wait more than a few seconds for one to appear. Based on our observation, negative comments about wear and tear in rooms and common areas are not deserved, as Bally's can compare favorably to a number of other Strip hotels in this regard.
Located in the center of the Strip, one can explore a number of casinos easily on foot. One block left or right takes in just about all. Being attached to the Paris Hotel with its myriad of shops and dining places is a plus, as is the ability to charge to your room in any of the five Harrah's casinos. A monorail connects the hotel with either end of the strip and the L.V. Convention center.
All in all, considering the room rates of Bally's, this hotel offers a great deal for the money.
