After hearing jangling bells and shouts all day at a casino, this is a welcome respite. We chose to eat tapas-style here instead of the bento box. Our server, Julia, was so enthusiastic about the food and even more so when she discovered we shared her enthusiasm! We had a delightful array of delicious tastes, from the chicken tikka and samosas (and my husband says he doesn't like Indian food) to the Thai and Japanese and Korean selections. I think my favorite thing was the amuse-bouche, though! A little jewel of flavor -- smoked salmon with a yuzu foam, maybe some tobiko on top? Whatever it was, it was an explosion of flavor in our mouths.
Whatever you order, save room for dessert! Ours was a chocolate ball on a plate. Okay. Then she poured a hot fudge sauce over it and the chocolate ball melted, exposing a delightful hazelnut-flavored ice cream inside. Oh my goodness. Visually stunning and so yummy!
I can understand that this will not be to some people's tastes, but it was a soothing balm to me.
Oh, I visited the ladies room, and noticed that it was dead silent in there. It was like being in a sensory deprivation chamber until a toilet flushed in another stall. It was the first time I experienced total silence since coming to Vegas!
