I went to Vegas with my best friends to celebrate our 21st birthdays (b/c we're all born within the same 2 weeks.) We decided to stay at the Palms because we heard it was a great hotel for younger people. We heard right. There were lots of people in their 20s. The rooms were nice. We stayed in the old tower. The only problem was that there was not that much light in the room, so we couldn't see as well when putting on make up. The light in the bathroom was sufficient though.
We had breakfast at the hotel every day. The food is great at the 24 hour café and it’s very reasonably priced. We went to Little Buddha one night. The food was great. Also, my friend described the steak at N9NE as the best she ever had!
We didn't go to any of the clubs or lounges in the hotel itself, but we did get passes for free admission because we were staying in the hotel. The pool was nice, but it closes early, at 6pm. It’s not even sundown at that time yet :-( The pool also wasn't very deep, maybe 4 feet at most. There were red floaties for the pool and also floating tables with umbrellas. There was a great crowd by the pool. We had to wake up very early to reserve spots by the pool though. There are chairs that are reserved that you have to pay for, and lots of times, they were just empty b/c no one was paying for them. There are also cabanas you can rent for a day. One of the nights, there was a private party so they closed the pool early. But I guess that’s the price we had to pay for staying at such a popular party hotel.
Overall, we had a great time at the hotel and when I go back to Vegas, I will definitely stay at the Palms again!
