good food, very fun for kids.
have been to the rainforest cafe in anaheim and enjoyed it, but this time was decidedly different and a LOT more expensive than i remember it being. service seemed to take a long time though there weren't many people in there. my coffee was $3 as was my boyfriends soda. our group of 4 decided to have mimosas during my birthday breakfast. they were pretty small, and when we got the bill we discovered that they were $9 each. my breakfast of home fried potatos, eggs and bacon literally had about a quarter cup of potatos and peppers, and two skimpy pieces of bacon. our total was $140 for the 4 of us. i was stunned when we got the bill and saw how much drinks were. the fake animals and thunderstorms are NOT worth that much money.
Our kids were clearly impressed by the jungle decor and the fake animals. Breakfast was nothing special and price was quite high but it was fun.
I remember eating in the Rainforest Cafe when I was a pre-teen and loving it. However, as a 25 year old, it wasn't very impressive. Not to mention, the service was terrible and the food was acceptable at best. We waited in line for a table, which was not a big deal. However, our waiter did not take our drink order for at least 15 minutes (just about the time we were going to leave). We went ahead and ordered our food, which was okay. The food came out pretty quickly. I think they were understaffed on the night we went (Wednesday). I saw a lot of families who were waiting on food/drinks/checks as well. I think if you have children and a lot of time, this would be a fun place for the family. Otherwise, I would go elsewhere, especially if you've been to a Rainforest Cafe before (all the same).
Service sucks
