I was really surprised at how intimate this hotel felt, and I was very happy with my room. I enjoyed being close to the craziness of Mandalay Bay but able to escape to relative tranquility. Had 2 really nice spa treatments and was happy to find the spa similarly peaceful. The same can not be said of the Mandalay Bay pool area. Even though we rented a cabana, we were sweltering (no misting system), and the pools were so noisy and crowded, it was pretty tough to relax. I plan to stay again soon, as the proximity to the Strip combined with peace and quiet can't be beat.

I booked the MANDALAY BAY hotel 2-3 months before our stay. I booked directly with the hotel on the phone. I was on the email list and got a good deal, $129 M, $129 TU, $99 W, and $99 TH nights. Since we needed 2 rooms for upto 7 people, I needed to call reservations directly. I wanted 2 rooms connecting with 2 queen beds each. At 2pm Eastern time, I got an email confirming my reservation at THEHotel. I was thrilled! When they arrived, they said they did not have any connectiong rooms, but they could upgrade us to two suites on the same floor for no additional cost. The rooms were exactly like you see in the pictures and on the website. It was perfect. The amount of space was needed with 3-4 girls in each rooms. 1.5 bathrooms came in very handy when we were getting ready to go out or hungover the next day. We had a mini fridge in our room, worth the $$. On our last day we checked out of the hotel and we checked into our cabana which we booked for the birthday girl. $350 for a friday on the Lazy river island. [YES, more than a hotel room for 3 nights.] It came with unlimited sodas, water and ice and all the other details. We were mix our own drinks with the liquor we snuck in. [vodka in waterbottle trick]
The pool attendant wasnt too strick about the 1 key per pool guest, but we were prepaired anyways. Bring your own tubes for the lazy river and ask the Tube guy to fill it up for $1 tip.

Drinks are $10-$14 and food is $10+. There were a lot of kids at the lazy river tu-thursday. They get in the way of relazing and they are jumping alover the place. The east Lagoon and West Lagoon pools were better for adults. We were there during a freak lighting and rain storm. They will close the pools if this happens and not reopen for atleast 45 minutes after the last lightning strike.

Since we had checked out of the hotel and were not catching the Red-eye flight till 11pm, we showered in the open showers near the bathrooms/beach and changed in the cabana. There are private shower stalls in the Womens room outside the south convention center entance, and plugs for your hair dryer. [the cabana had plugs too, but no mirrors] We looked pretty good for spending the whole day at the pool.

THEHotel is amazing and I would go back in a heart beat.

The Hotel at Mandalay Bay has great rooms. The beds are comfortable and it is decorated nicely. The pool was nice, but get their early to get a chair.

First off my Wife and I and another couple stayed at THEhottel because we wanted something modern & luxurious wiht a boutique hotel feel. THE delivered in spades. The room was very nicely appointed a wetbar, 1/2 bath and a work area in the main room. King beds and a master bath complete with shower and a 2 person tub. Our room over looked the pool complex which was nice but we weren't there for the view.
All services that we used were friendly, efficient and overall quite top notch. THEcafe was good and so was the lobby bar.
Overall, we will definately be booking again on our next trip to Vegas!
