My husband has seen Phantom in NYC, but this was the first time for me. The Venetian was beautiful and was decorated for the era. The music was wonderful, the special effects and sets were gorgeous, costumes were beautiful and the show was fantastic. I sew as a hobby and my eyes just kept wandering (before the show started) to the opulent fabrics, drapes and curtains. You can see where all the money was spent at the Venetian. I would have to say that the actors/singers were very good. Were they the best singers I've ever heard? No, but the main characters voices were very good and stayed constant throughout the show. Our seats were on the main floor about 12 rows back and had a very good view. My husband normally likes the first 2 row for show, but I am so glad they were sold out. I don't think you would have been able to see as much, so close to the stage. Even several rows back, we still had to look a few times to see what was going on. I think from my view, getting a balcony seat would probably be great for this particular show. I was initially hesitant about spending so much money (over $100 per person), but it was well worth it and I would gladly see it again. If you only see one show in Vegas, I would highly recommend this one or Mystere.
