I usually stay at Wynn, Aria, or Palazzo. However, my son suggested that I give Bellagio a shot. This is by far the worst Vegas vacation I have ever had. We arrived at 1pm and were informed that we could not check in because the computer system was down. At 5pm, they began checking in guests, but we had to wait a full 2 hours before we finally arrived at the check-in desk. The check-in staff were very rude. I paid over $500 per night for my room and was given a 7th floor unrenovated room facing the rooftop air conditioning units. When I got to 'my' room, the room key worked, but the room was already occupied with a child crawling about on the floor. I went down to the elevator lobby and the security guard was kind enough to call the front desk for me to have my room changed. We were moved to the fifth floor with a better view of the a/c units. We were informed that they would not send our new room keys to our room; instead, we had to go line up again for an hour to get our new room keys. Also, having stored out luggage with the bellman earlier in the day, we phoned to have our luggage delivered to our room - this took over an hour.
We complained to the front desk, but they told us to save our complaints until check-out. We asked to speak to a manager, but they said the managers were too busy but a manager would call our room - no manager ever called. At check-out, we complained again, but the front desk staff very inhospitable and rude, telling us to complain to their travel agent as the issues we encountered were apparently not the hotel's problem.
I can understand that the hotel was dealing with a hectic situation with the computer system being down, but one would like to think that the hotel would try to make the remainder of guests' stays enjoyable. I'll never stay here again.
