I booked a room at Circus Circus but got a room at the Manor. People had smoked in the room although it was non smoking. Parts of the wall were coming off. The TV movies didn't work. The bathroom hadn't been well cleaned. This place is a disaster.

We just returned from three nights at the Circus. I will keep this short as some write quite long reviews. After reading all the negatives on this website, I was somewhat nervous with our choice to stay at the Circus Circus. We were well satisfied with everything at the Circus. Check in was slow but the room was large and clean. We asked for extra towels and pillow and received them promptly. There were children everywhere but we knew that when booking. We had no problems with noise at night. We did find the prices on food and gifts were a little cheaper than other casinos. We used the duce for transportation and were able to get anywhere we needed to go. We had the best meal of the trip at the 24 hour cafe at the Circus. We would stay at the Circus again if we decide to stay at that end of the strip. I don't understand why all the bad reviews. What do you expect for $40-50 dollars per night?

Have stayed several times at Circus Circus. Always have found that the rooms were comfortable and a very good value. We did some gambling there and we usually had our rooms comped. Our December and September stay in 2006 were very disappointing. They were installing carpeting and the traffic patterns were altered. It was very confusing, especially on weekends when there were so many hotel and casino guests, with too many children. We found that the food prices have increased a lot and the restaurants had poor service and the food was not good or only so-so. Service was generally fair, however it was very impersonal.
The slots had fewer people than I have ever seen and they seemed to not pay out like our other experiences. Therefore, we went elsewhere. We do not ever plan on staying at Circus Circus again.

We had a miserable stay at Circus. The woman who checked us in was very difficult to understand and she mumbled through the whole conversation. This is a LOW budget hotel... there were children every where. It's very smokey and the layout of the casino is bad. The hotel needs some serious updating and a good cleaning. Additionally, every time we used the elevator we had to wait at least 20 minutes... at one point there were 2 elevators broken and during check out time at 11am we would take the stairs from our room on the 26 floor to the 21 floor and catch the elevator there. The hotel is on the northern part of the strip and is located between vacant lots and the old Stardust Hotel that is about to be demolished. I will say our room was very clean and the maid service was excellent. Also, The Steakhouse is located inside Circus and is one of the best steakhouses I've ever eaten at. Only stay at Circus if you're looking for a cheap vacation with very few admenities.

Ugh! What a disappointment this place was. The cigarette stench was pervasive throughout the whole hotel - and even in our room. The room itself was ok, but very basic. We stayed in the West Tower which apparently had recently been updated. Rooms were clean, but common areas including the circus area, Adventuredome, and lobby were trashy...and the circus acts were such a ripoff! They lasted only about 5 minutes and were scheduled every 45 minutes - not every 30 minutes as advertisted. And the Adventuredome closed at 6pm during the week!!! What sense does that make? - Beware of the elevators! Only TWO of the four elevators going to our floor were working. Needless to say, it was almost impossible to get on an elevator during the "rush" times. We wound up walking down 14 flights of stairs after waiting almost 25 minutes to get on an elevator during checkout time on a Friday. I reported it to the surly Supervisor on Duty who seemed unconcerned as she voiced her "sorry for the invonvenience" script. - The best thing I can say about this place is that the valet and bellmen were very efficient. Other than that, the place isn't worth giving a second thought...no matter how cheap it is. (Also, there were some mighty scary looking people staying there.....Sometimes I didn't feel safe, and I've never had that feeling in a Las Vegas Hotel/Casino before). Kids or not, stay in another hotel!
(P.S. Beware of the time share vultures in the common areas trying to trick you in to sitting through a Tahiti Village time share presentation!)
