My wife and I traveled to Las Vegas July 12-15 for a wedding outside of Las Vegas. When arriving at the hotel, the check in was slow, but we recieved the room we requested. It was nice, modern, clean, and comfortable. I ate at Gonzales y Gonzales for dinner the first night at the bachelor party, which was very good and reasonably priced. We then went to the Bar at Times Square, a dueling piano bar that got great reviews. I personally thought it was overrated and the drinks were pricey. Although everything in Las Vegas was pricey. The gamvling was fun. A won about $40 playing blackjack and then proceeded to loose it all at Excalibur.
The second day was a pool day after having breakfast at Paris (great buffet). The pool was crowded by 11am with almost no sun. The buildings blocked the pool until 12-1pm. With that said we really enjoyed ourselves. It was hot, so we sat in the water the entire time. After the pool, we went upstairs changed for dinner and came back down to gamble at NYNY before leaving for dinner. My wife won $30 at back jack and she decided to walk away. We hopped in a cab and went over to the Rio Hotel for dinner at Buzio's. Great food and a nice atmosphere. After dinner we went back to the hotel, changed and walked to the Bellagio to see the fountains. That was a ton of fun, but it was too hot to walk. We gambled at the Bellagio and won $35 at Blackjack. Again, it was a ton of fun.
Saturday was the wedding day, so we were gone all day, did nothing at the hotel. Paris brunch and the Venetian in the morning.
Sunday we left for the airport. Our cab driver dropped us off at Baggage Claim, but we didn't know because we were first timers. Walked to Ticketing, Checked in, and thats when the terror began. The security line was soooo long. Over an hour. We almost missed out flight. Made it by minutes...
