Disappointed in the accomodations at the Attitash Village. They booked us in what they called a two bedroom which was a one bedroom lockout with a king bed, separate bath and a jacuzzi.
A second attached room which was a kitchen/ living room with a pull down queen size Murphy Bed and a separate bath.

No maid service provided, towels and toiletries supplied at the entrance to the bldg. Some of the halls required vacuuming and cleaning. Needed to take out your garbage and recyclables to the dumpster nearby the units.

The rooms were heated by the gas fireplace in each room. Our room was subterrainian and had a view of the deck above us and the grass growing at eye level out of our windows. Our gas fireplace was noisy and popped when the thermostat called for more heat. The fan that was pushing out the hot air was noisy and the refrig noise at night was not much better.

I can't recall ever having a refrig in my bedroom / kitchen/ living room /growing up in the New York / NJ metro area.

For the skiing folk the place was well taken care of and the new snow making equipment was in full blast. They tell us they spent a few mil on the new units that produce the snow. The White Mountains were spectacular and MT Washington was snow capped and looking great.

The pool and exercise equipment ,sauna, steam bath were in a separate building location which required walking or a car to get to use them. Not conveniently attached to the units. You may frost your bippy in the process.

We booked thru RCI and didn't ask enough questions before we got there. Put the reservation on hold and call the place and ask a lot of questions. That is if your not convinced by this review you may not want to consider this place in million years.

There were plenty of good restaurants near by for dining. The people were great, friendly and willing to make your stay a good one.

If you have a choice, there is the Attitash Summit Hotel which has all of the facilities under one roof, good bar, restaurant exercise room ,pool etc all in one place ,heated pool, steam room etc. Much better deal than the village units.
A REAL RESORT!

Good luck! A once burned and wiser RCI customer.

“Not what I expected”

Booked a 2 bedroom/2 bath. Got Bldg. 8, Unit D2-D4.We ended up w/a studio and a 1 bedroom connecting. Murphy beds in both units plus a King bed on the 3rd floor. No bath on the 3rd floor. Unit was clean but old and in need of up-dating. Not what we
expected and when we tried to get moved there was no space
available. Will never go back to this property again. It was so uncomfortable for 4 people in their 70's.

Nice looking place but service and property needs improvement. There was a staff meeting at the front desk. I had to wait until they more over so I can check in. The spa and pool can use some cleaning. Kids and adult was play in the hall way from 9:25pm to 10:30pm. The room was good for us. The view from the room was very nice. Check out was fast.

After reading some reviews, I was a little nervous...but...the studio we had was great - beds were a tiny bit uncomfortable but for 2 nites we made it. Had 2 14 yr old boys w/us, they used the sofa pullout, second nite we put the mattress on the floor and they slept like logs! The bathroom was huge, kitchen great, and the location couldnt have been better. We actually let the kids go for an hour or so after following them around at the Alpine Slide and waterslides and went back to the pool. There is a huge grill outside for use at the gazebo near the outside pool, walk down the Saco River Trail for fun in the river sliding on rocks, etc. We saw bears (!) but usually only at nite near the dumpsters, tho they do warn you of this. No problems at all. Had dinner at the cafe there one nite, food was fine. No breakfast served so we brought breakfast stuff and ate in the room. Go to the Red Parka Jacket restaurant down the street - excellent. I would go back here in a heartbeat!

We stayed at this resort ten years ago and had a wonderful experience, so we suggested it for a family reunion. 45 of us showed up, and from the beginning it was utter chaos. We requested first floor rooms for our elderly relatives, only to be told they had none. My grandfather, who uses a walker, had to find his way up 12 stairs to get to his bedroom. We were promised in unit washers and dryers, only to discover we didn't have them. The units were poorly maintained, and the public spas were filthy. When we complained about an odor in our unit, they sent someone over with a bottle of air freshener, rather than sending someone over the clean it. My mother not only had to request sheets for the bare bed she found in her room, she then had to make her own bed and hang her own shower curtain! We were promised a facility to host our reunion, only to be told the day before that they didn't realize it had already been booked. The staff was beyond incompetent, and couldn't even perform basic arithmetic to give us our group discount. At the end of the day, every single aspect of our vacation was a disappointment, and upon our checkout, they tried to charge us for an extra night! We received NO group discount, as was promised us, and we received not even an apology for the trouble we went through, even though we definately provided the bulk of their business that week.

STAY AWAY. There are too many beautiful resorts in the area to waste your time at Attitash Mountain village.

As is human nature, everyone knows you can not please everyone all the time. With a group this large, I'm sure there were issues for some, and not for others. Our resort does strive to make sure that all guests have a flawless experience - and urges everyone to report and needs or issues to staff immediately. If there is any further need for resolve, most people would request to speak to management - and our resort is no exception. Many guests have returned to our facility again and again because of the great stay, facilities, and their love for our staff (or else we would not be in business!). We value our guests - and would hope that they believe in second chances and work with us rather than against us.
