If you're in the White Mountains, do yourself a favor and have dinner at Margarita Grill! It's a popular place with tourists and locals alike, and it's easy to see why.
There is a bar and a dining area, both are a bit cozy. I'd say there are only about 15 tables or so in the dining area. It's a casual atmosphere, which is nice. The wait staff is attentive and helpful, and they seem to always be working hard. (Nothing irritates me more than getting lousy service and then seeing the servers standing around doing nothing.) You get a basket of housemade tortilla chips and fresh salsa immediately after you're seated. My husband and I both had (really cheaply-priced) margaritas - mine was on the rocks, his was frozen - and they were both STRONG and delicious! The food came out quickly - amaaaazing fish tacos for me and super-good beef tacos for my husband. The fish tacos were huge, the fish was so fresh (and non-fishy smelling!), and the tartar sauce that came with it just tied together all the flavors. Portions were huge...such a great value for the money.
Dessert was a pineapple-coconut carrot cake and a dark chocolate cupcake with almond cream icing, both made by one of the servers there. The cupcake was served with the best coffee ice cream I've ever had, and locally-made!
The best part of Margarita Grill? Most of their ingredients are local and sustainable, and I'm telling you...you can taste the love! :)
We'll go back a million times!
