ok at first it was great. my mother and i had to go to a family birthday party for my nephew. we got two rooms on for my mother and one for me and a guest. so after the party we had to show my guest where we were and to park somewhere on the beach. my cousin, the guest and my mother pulled up tot he room to put our stuff away and then follow my cousin so we can then go out. well one of the ladies came up out of no where and was drilling us about what were going to do and was really animated about it. well we told what was going on even though it was none of her business and she went back inside. well my mother was in bed early and my cousin and i were coming back to the room to get his stuff in the room to leave. i didn't get the key in the door before this lady came running out and yelling at us for no reason. told my cousin he had to leave right away and then threatened to call the police. my mother came out from her room and asked what was going on the lady had the nerve to tell we had woken her up my mother then replied thats funny i didn't hear them but i heard you. after feeling completely violated we packed our stuff and left. this place may be good for families that go to bed at 7pm but if you want to have a couple of drinks and go back to watch tv or something forget it. this place was horrid and the owners were just as bad.

We stayed here recently to see a concert at the Ballroom and to get some much needed beach time. The staff was excellent and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. The motel was very neat and tidy and nicely appointed for a beach property. We will be back!!

On a side note, during our stay there was an extremely rude and disruptive person in the next room. The owners handled the situation well and peace was restored. Thank you!!

We stay here every time we go to New Hampshire/Maine. Mary and Rose are wonderful hosts and extremely helpful for whatever you need. They can tell you the best places to dine in the area where the locals go that are not tourists traps. The rooms are always kept extremely clean and are well kept up. The clientele are very pleasant and it is a quiet place to stay no college parties like other hotels in the area. Not on the ocean front, but its only a quick walk to the beach and boardwalk. Would definitely stay again, and would highly recommend.

We stayed at the Bluejay at the beginning of the summer of 2007. Our room was really clean (and I'm very picky) and the owners were really the best part of the trip. They have great personalities and were so helpful. They really seem to love owning this quaint motel and it shows (the flowers are beautiful). They had lots of suggestions (restaurants, breakfast joints, etc.) and they were all right on target. We had a night out without the kids and it's a memory that we often think back on. We will probably go back this year, as well.
