We stayed at the Carter Notch inn to celebrate a birthday with a group of friends. It was better than we could have ever dreamed! The innkeepers, Dick and Sally, are tremendous. They offered suggestions for activities and restaurants and even decorated with balloons to greet our arrival. The inn is cozy and the rooms are spacious and immaculately clean. Give yourself a treat and stay at this wonderful inn - be sure to reserve room 8 and enjoy the fireplace and the loft jacuzzi.

This was our second time back at the Carter Notch Inn, and it was just as wonderful a stay as our first. Whether we were drinking wine by the fire, feasting on a delicious breakfast, enjoying a dip in the outdoor hot tub, or getting recommendations on how to spend our day, there was never a sour note. Dick and Sally, the Innkeepers, have a joyful passion for their work and it shows. They strive to make every guest's experience perfect. In sum, the accommodations, the food, and the people at the Carter Notch Inn are all-- dare I say it?-- top notch!

The Carter Notch Inn is my absolute favorite place to stay!! The house is beautiful and Dick and Sally are wonderful!

We stayed a couple of nights at the Carter Notch Inn during our tour of New England, an excellent INN in a great location. The hospitality provided by Sally and Dick - sorry and HENRY!! was first class, they could not do enough to advise on places to visit which would meet our needs and their choices of eating places really were spot on. A nice touch was the availability of a free internet link for guests which helped us find the next stay on our journey. Our room was very comfortable, clean and exceedingly spacious - but yes it was the best in the house. Dick your frequent updates on the progress of UK Teams in the Rugby World Cup were appreciated and the fact that you carried our very heavy cases to our room for us was a real bonus. Sally, thanks for the great food at breakfast and the friendly chats that you facilitated with your guests.
