If you're flying out of MHT early, or arriving there late (as I did), the Holiday Inn is worth staying at for a night. Any longer than that, I'd reconsider.
An earlier post mentioned the Manager's Special rate, available only by clicking the link at www.manchesterhi.com (it's on the right side). I did that and would say it was worth the $89 -- certainly no more.
The room was clean and comfortable, though the showerhead was of the very old variety. Also, there are freight tracks hidden behind the building, so when a train rolls through, you'll know.
Check-in and out was easy. There's free coffee in a cubbyhole off the lobby where you'll also find a PC you can use, complete with a printer.
Didn't go to the diner (you're in New England; have breakfast at a Bickford's). But I'd caution that music blares from a speaker outside the diner, which has to impact rooms nearby.
