“Going to stay elsewhere next time”

I spent 3 nights in July 05. The lobby has limited area/cluttered and it was difficult wheeling in my luggage up the flight of stairs to my 2nd floor room. The rate I had a rate ~$110 per night for a 2 queen size bed room.

The room size is somewhat small, particularly the vanity and shower area. The shower head is made for a 4 foot tall adult. The room had a small table and some chairs and tv. The linens and bed were gross- the bedsheets and mattress had stains on them.

The Eastern Inn offers a continental breakfast. The continental breakfast is served in their somewhat dark basement. The basement looks like a storage area converted over to an eating area. The continental breakfast fare is bland/limited- small ceral boxes, juice, coffee and english muffins/toast. There are signs everywhere warning you that no takeout of food is not permitted. Raisin bran and toast is very expensive these days I guess. After the first day, I started to have breakfast offsite anyways.

While the location of the Inn is convenient to Mt. Washington, and the various other tourist attractions in the North Conway area; there are lots of other hotels in N. Conway offering similar rates so I am going elsewhere next time.

We stay at Eastern inn's at least twice a year... Once skiing, once during summer break to school shop at the outlets right up the road.
For the money, your getting a great place to stay. The room, pool, hot tub, sauna & game room are all clean & great places for your kid's. ( game room is super for older kid's to hang out ) The staff is very friendly and will assist you... but do not smoke in the rooms !
( when I smoked I was charged $50 for smoking in the room, they arn't kidding that they'll fine) :0 ~ We are planning yet another trip this Aug. 2005 ~ hence this trip to the web site. :) Have Fun!

We have stayed at Eastern Inns a few times. The rooms have always been very clean. I think that is what keeps us coming back. Although not spacious, the rooms are cozy. We stayed in one of the suites which offer a small liv room/kitchen area with microwave, frige, sink and cabinets to store snacks n' such. Sofa a bit uncomfortable (probably because it is a sleeper). Bathroom very clean and has a seperate sink area which is nice. The sleeping area a bit tight but the beds are comforatable. If you are able to take advantage of one of their "off season specials", it is reasonably priced. Peak season rates are comparable to other lodging in the area. The front desk employees are very helpful and friendly. The seating/entrance area is inviting especially in winter when fireplace is on. There are a few game areas that are great for kids. They have a washer and dryer onsite as well as an ice machine inside. Although it is non smoking-they have a designated area outside. The indoor pool area is nice to come back to although the smell of chlorine does fill the air. The offer of a continental breakfast is nice in the mornings. It gives you a chance to grab a cup of joe or tea or bagel intstead of having to take off right away in the morning to get that "wake me up". You can explore the trails directly behind the Inn. Just a moments walk from your room door. Nice to take a stroll first thing in the morning with your coffee and enjoy the fresh air and nature that surrounds you. If you are looking for a clean, friendly, family atmosphere than EASTERN INNS is a nice place to stay.

“Good value”

Our 4-adult party stayed in a two-room suite for the weekend for $66.50 per night. We felt the motel was a good value. The room was clean and neat, but the decor was outdated and the furnishings did not match each other (they were comfortable though). The bathroom area was pretty small, but we made do. The TV is in the sitting room; there's no TV in the bedroom. The beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast was adequate - two kinds of cereal (Frosted Flakes and Raisin Bran), two types of bread, English muffins, bagels, fruit, milk, juice, and coffee. The breakfast room was cozy. The pool was nice; the hot tub is a little small. There is also a nice sauna. There is no outdoor pool.

There are an execerise room and two game rooms. One game room has a pool table and an air hockey table. The second game room has two pinball machines and several acarade games. There are also movies available for rent but we did not try this service so are not sure how it works.

We enjoyed our stay and felt that overall this was a good place to stay if you're looking for inexpensive lodging in North Conway. We gave it four stars because of the number of amenities available. We also liked that it was a smoke-free motel.

I have stayed at the Eastern Inns many times throughout the past few years and have always been satisfied. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and basic, and the location is great being close to the center of North Conway. Perfect for weekend getaways to ski, hike, or shop. Always look forward to coming back for a swim or a soak in the hot tub. Never found the pool to be too cold (and yes, I am picky). Can't go wrong looking for a decent place at a decent rate.
