We stayed at the Kearsarge Inn for two nights in October as part of a tour of New England. It looked fantastic on the website and the staff had been so helpful throughout booking so we were really looking forward to staying there - and we weren't disappointed. We were shown to our room which was in a separate annex at the back of the property and when the door opened we both just stood there and said 'wow'. The room itself was huge with a sofa and window seat and a lovely real flame fire in the corner but the best part was the bed - it was huge and so comfortable. The bathroom was smaller but just as nicely decorated as the rest of the room. There was plenty of room on the property for parking as well - we had our own space right by the side of the building. It was a lovely setting and very romantic.

The reception staff were all so friendly and helpful that we asked their recommendations for restaurants in the area. They recommended 'Decades' which is conveniently placed right next door and apparently is owned by the same people as Kearsarge Inn! Our meal was lovely. We had steak with garlic mash followed by Creme Brulee (which was out of this world). It was so good in fact that we went back the next night and had exactly the same meal!!

North Conway itself was a lovely little town with lots of shops and close to lots of local attractions. You have to check out Zeb's General Store! Unfortunately, when we were there it rained and there were roadworks on the main road which caused a lot of traffic but we didn't let it ruin our stay.

Our only real disappointment was that we didn't stay here longer!

Our weekend at the inn was far less than we expected. Our room was spacious, but there was no view of the mountains; or perhaps you had to look beyond the restaurant next door and the folks smoking outside and emptying the trash.
The inn stays lit up all night long, and the shades either do not work, are missing, or do not cover the full width of the window. If it is summer time, you will be up very late due to the roar of the motorcycles on the main road, just 1 block away. If you expect fine linens, go elsewhere or bring your own, the linens are similar to those you might buy at Target. The innkeepers are aware of the problem, yet continue to put the "pilled" sheets on the bed. If you need towels replaced, don't count on it unless you bump into the housekeeper; if you would like ice you won't get it here.....if you want a decent continental breakfast, stay elsewhere. You will be lucky to get coffee in the morning, unless you are a real early bird. The best feature of the inn was the spacious bathroom in the room, though workmanship is quite shoddy.
Overall, our stay was very disappointing. We have stayed at many other wonderful establishments in the North Conway area, and this certainly doesn't even compare with the others.

The Inn Keeper was beyond accomodating. The property is PERFECT. The location is prime. You can't ask for more! But if you do I am sure they'll try to accomodate you. Decades next door has incredible food and drinks.

The whole place is pristine and the penthouse we stayed in was fab. This room is great and you could almost get lost amongst the huge bed and numerous pillows, that's what I call a real bed! And Comfy too which was a bonus!

The penthouse was a room and the furniture lovely. There was a bar area in the room and cut glass glasses were provided which is a luxury. The room was very clean and a TV in the lounge area and bedroom area was a bonus. A nice big roomy bathroom meant I could spread my toiletries out everywhere rather than cramming them onto a small shelf like in some B&B's.

Amy particularly is a credit to the B & B, she was very helpful and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble for her. It was a pleasure to speak to someone so cheerful. We also briefly spoke to Cheryl who was very friendly.

This is a place we would definitely re-visit if we return to North Conway (and we are hoping too!). The only disappointment was no coffee was served to the room (you had to go downstairs for this).

The hotel is in a great location and north Conway village is very nice. We ate in Decades restaurant next door and the food and service was excellent too.

Booked for 4 nights on basis of TA reviews. Confirmed reservation of KS bed but was shown to QS. Manageress, Lucy, gave impression of being more interested in things other than us. Were moved to a comfortable KS room. Breakfast, included in tariff, was a glass of juice and a stale bun - not really good enough. No coffee making facilities in room or bar fridge. Is this the norm in US? Adjacent restaurant, owned by Inn Management , poor value for money and service very poor. Could not recomment restaurant.
