We stayed at the Kearsarge Inn for four nights and loved it. I booked the room by phone and was given a large room on the first floor. This was a last minute booking in New Hampshire's busy season so I was thrilled to get a room. I will admit I was a bit wary of this inn due to some of the reviews I read but we couldn't have been happier. The room had a very comfortable king size bed and a pull out couch for our toddler. We also had enough room for a pack and play for our infant without making the room feel cramped. The bathroom was enormous! The staff made us feel very welcome and were very attentive when we needed something. The continental breakfast was sufficient, we usually grabbed a mufffin or two and went on our way. If you need more there are several bakeries, coffee shops and breakfast places within walking distance. There are also numerous restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. We didn't try Decades, the Inn owned restaurant, but only because we have been to this area before and knew where we wanted to eat. The Inn is located in a central location near shops and the North Conway Train Scenic Railroad. I wouldn't recommend this inn if you are looking for a place to play, swim or hang out with the kids, but if your looking for a nice, clean place to stay I would definately recommend it. I will probably go back with my wife for a nice weekend away. By the way, the inn has a Lifesaver rate program for public servants (police, fire, EMT) for those that qualify.

“Okay, but not great”

Kearsarge Inn

21 Aug 2007

I have mixed emotions about this place. We loved the room-- it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. However, when you stay at a bed and breakfast, you come to expect breakfast. When we went for breakfast, there was barely enought coffee for one and there were a few muffins that didn't look very good. We left and decided to go out for breakfast.

Perhaps I would not have been disappointed if they had been up front with the limited breakfast options.

The room was clean, the bed big but not comfortable, the little narrow stairway to the room was a bit steep. Cookies in the afternoon were straight out of Keebler and when we got down at 9 am there was a weary looking muffin (1) and not enough coffee for 2 so we left and went to Dunkin Donuts. I am not impressed.

“great place to stay”

Kearsarge Inn

24 Nov 2006

We stayed at the Kearsage Inn for the 3rd time for my birthday last week. Once again, everything was great. The rooms are always clean and beautiful. We have stayed in Room 10 twice now and we love it. I would definatly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice place to stay.
