We were on a mini road trip vacation of the North East. As we were before the season start there were vacancy signs up and down the North Conway strip, but at a friends recommendation and the posted $59 sign outside we pulled in to book a room for the night. payed the lady at the counter and went up to see and use the facility. The receptionist had warned us that room might not be made up yet from the previous tenants, but that could not have warned us of what to expect.
Now i know not to expect the Ritz for that kind of money, but the room was so small that you could not fall out of the double bed because it was so small. The early 1970's decor well worn beyond useful service life. The carpeting was...well, we didn't take our shoes off.
Our room overlooked (10ft) the side of the pool house with the not so quite A/C unit right underneath it. Although outside it was cool to brisk it was so hot in our closet (as we nicknamed it) we had to run the A/C all night.
Advice, spend a few more bucks elsewhere and actually enjoy the stay.
