Stayed at this property for 3 nights and was extremely disappointed with the front desk person who checked us in. Instead of greeting us with a "Hello" or "Welcome, she asked for my name. We also asked her questions about the property she seemed to rush us, therefore not too informative. Also she was more preoccupied in selling me the waterslide package then helping us with questions about the resort.

Also we booked directly with Best Western a month in advance reserving a room. Upon arrival to the room we received the last room on the complex which was near a dirt road. Due to the rain the area was very muddy and dirty. I asked the front desk if they could move us over to another room and the frost desk advised that they were all booked! I found that hard to believe in that I checked in on a Monday morning.
I will never return to this property as there seems to be friendlier places in North Conway. Which we found great. Especially with a 4 year old as attractions abound. Therefore I recommend the area but not this hotel which for the price you can find better and more value added such as Continental breakfast

The resort was not as impressive as it is pictured on the website. It's not all that clean, and a bit second-rate. The indoor water park was very dark, humid and LOUD. In addition to the noise of the water sports, there was a movie going on a big screen that no one was watching. With a setting in the beautiful New Hampshire mountains, it was a bit difficult to justify being in this dark, damp cave-like water park. The rooms were just alright, not particulary clean, and the service was mediocre. The food, however, was excellent, both dinner and brunch. It was a good location for Storyland, etc., but I would not go there again.

My husband and I were wanting to escape for a weekend to an indoor water park. I googled to see if there were any in New England, and Kahuna Laguna/Red Jacket Resort was the first entry. It seemed like a perfect match: fun water park and in the White Mountains. We were expecting a huge water park (like those we're familiar with in WI) with a hotel attached. Instead we got a nice hotel with a pretty lame water park attached.

That said, the staff was so helpful, our mountain view room was huge and nicely kept with a great view, and the restaurant's Mothers Day brunch was perfectly memorable for my first Mothers Day. The staff, views, and atmosphere of Champney's Restaurant was wonderful.

We just had to change the focus of our weekend. If you're looking for a water park weekend I *do not* recommend Kahuna Laguna/Red Jacket Resort. If you're looking for a classic mountain resort in Conway, NH with a pretty cool pool area for you and your kids, then this is probably a good option for you.

I have mixed emotions regarding our recent stay at this North Conway hotel. The rate did include the new water park which is impressive (not quite to the scale of Lake George's Great Escape Indoor Water Park) but still filled with many activities. The park is new,clean and much fun for kids. The rooms, on the other hand are in need of some attention. Literature provided by the hotel claim that the rooms are newly renovated but one would be hard pressed to confirm this. The rooms are not bad and they seem fairly clean, but I could not figure out what had been renovated. There was a great deal of construction going on around the property but this was not a problem. The Front Desk staff and food and beverage people are outstanding.
Oddest thing about this hotel that may bother only me: no luggage carts are provided; only surplus Home Depot dolleys(sic) that are better suited to move washing machines. A multi-million dollar addition and cheesey , inappropriate devices to bring your bags into the hotel. Overall: we had a nice one night's stay; but one night was plenty.
