From the highway, even while ascending the long driveway up the hill, It looks nice. As soon as you're parked in front of the hotel you see an entirely different picture. They claim to have renovated only a few months ago but we were wondering where. In fact, the only thing that looked recent was the outdoor pool. From the moment we checked in we saw filth. The bathroom shower tiles were moldy , the bathtub had some soap scum and was dirty and there were various hairs on the edge of the bathtub that looked as if they had belonged to Bigfoot. At bed time I drew back the blankets to check for bed bugs, like we do at every hotel, and found on the first bed, many hairs of different colour (they obviously belonged to the previous lodgers, and perhaps the ones before them!) and worse still more hairs on the second bed and dried vomit stains!! We rang the front desk and demanded someone come to change the linens. About 20 minutes later someone came to change the linens and gasped when he saw the vomit stains. He apologised profusely. We complained to the manager and received another apology and a nominal discount on the room. It was very cold the day we stayed so my son and I decided to try the heated indoor pool. Assuming it was heated I ran and did my best cannonball into the deep-end and actually screamed underwater because it was FREEZING! - the Atlantic ocean is warmer. The hot tub located just adjacent to the pool was filthy and had a foam on the surface like there was soap in it. We also found hazardous debris around the pool that could cause injury if trampled on. The pictures on their website are very deceiving. We were extremely disappointed with this hotel and will never return.
