If you don't like older properties and the way they can look, smell, feel, this is not for you. Nereledge Inn is definitely "lived in" and may feel like your home, or parts of it, by the various items spread about here and there.
Good Points: Great location of the main drag so it's quiet but still easily accesible to all the shops and restaurants.
Steve is very helpful with whatever you may come up with. An all around good guy and ready to take care of his guests.
Steve cooks a fantastic breakfast with enough choices to please everyone.
The bathroom we shared with another room was excellent.
General Points: Cool cats live on the property. If you have a problem with felines, be warned.
No TV in room, but they have 2 rooms to watch and it was fine.
Points of Concern: Our room was old and worn. The carpet needs to go and overall needs to be brightened and freshened.
A little cold in the room. Steve however, did put on the heat for my wife who is really sensitive to cold.

We stayed here at the beginning of August it was very good value for money especially when compared to other hotels in the area.
The breakfasts were lovely and Steve taught us a lot about the local area.
The rooms are basic but clean and it doesn't pretend to be anything else.
A good affordable base from which to explore the local area!

We had a great time at the nereledge inn while visiting the white mountains. The prices were reasonable, the rooms were neat, the owners were very friendly and they have two very sweet cats living on the property. The breakfast was also quite good! This was my first bed and breakfast experience and I will certainly do it again!

“Like staying in a friend's home”

Nereledge Inn

11 Jun 2007

We stayed with Steve and his family for two nights in May. We were travelling with a young baby and Steve was happy to give us a different room to the one he had allocated to us in order that we had more space. He and his family were exceptionally friendly and helped us plan our days out so that we got the best from our visit. His cinnamon and vanilla oatmeal was a highlight of our entire 3 week holiday! The inn was very quiet while we were there so we had the tv room to ourselves - it was lovely to relax in and we felt just like we were staying at a friend's house. I would definitely stay here again, particularly as it is very good value for money.

We stayed at the Nereledge Inn while skiing and taking the EMS basic mountaineering course. The Inn was homey and comfortable without feeling as if we were invading someone's home and living space. Steve gave great advice for places to eat and ski. They were accomodating with the mountaineering and skiing gear with a separate room for equipment. Breakfast was hot and good. They even served us early when we climbed Mt. Washington. Hot coffee, tea and hot chocolate were always available. We plan to stay here the next time we come to this area.
