“Snowmobiles zooming by till midnight!! noisy”

Holiday Inn Express North Conway

What they don't tell you is that the snowmobile trail runs right under your windows..They zoomed by every 10 minutes till almost midnight. Awfull noise two small grandkids could not sleep till they finally stopped. No fridge in the room. Worn furniture..The 1st floor reeks of clorine from the small run down pool area... Breakfast was not very good. few dry cearals, stale muffins and coffee buns. Not even a microwave to heat the muffins.. And some tired looking apples and bananas! ran out of OJ and never refilled.
But the worse was the 3rd floor reeked of marijuana smoke!!!!!!!!! College kids I guess when we complained we where told nothing they could do..So we and the grandkids had to smell pot smoke NOT GOOD. We paid for 3 nights but after the pot smoke we left and went to another motel not getting a refund.Even though we said we had to leave due to the kids being exposed to this pot smell. Manager even agreed he smelled it!! Slamming doors half the night and snowmobiles what a racket. No views. never again..Beware go else where..sheets did not fit the beds either. stale smell of cigs also

We spent 2 nights here at the end of September while touring New England. Nice large rooms and bathrooms. On entirely non -smoking corridor so no problems with smoke smells. Good breakfast- cooked food as well as usual bagels, fruit etc. Set well back from the road so very quiet. Computer for guests so could pick up email.

My family and I had some time off during a week in February of this year so we decided to take a short trip to North Conway. We've been there several times, and have stayed in a few of the hotels in the area. Honestly, this Holiday Inn, which is nestled behind a small grouping of pinetrees, was one of the better hotels that we stayed in. I was very surprised with this place.

Check in was a breeze, and when we entered our standard double room, we were treated to a nice clean atmosphere. The beds were made up well and looked very comfortable. (Later on, we discovered that the beds were just as comfortable as they looked.) There was a sink and large vanity outside of the bathroom, which was a decent size. I always appreciate a good-sized bathroom.

There was a faint smell of smoke in the hallways, but it didn't bother me. Naturally that's expected. We didn't happen to go into the pool, but we checked it out, and it looked clean enough. The complimentary breakfast the next morning was impressive, with hot scrambled eggs and sausages offered in addition to your standard cold cereal/muffin-type of fare.

We only stayed for a night, so we weren't looking to go too fancy on this trip. But we ended leaving the Holiday Inn VERY satisfied. I would most certainly stay again, even longer than just a night. If you're coming to the area and looking for a good night's sleep that won't drain the wallet, check out the Holiday Inn.

The nice thing about chain hotels is having some kind of quality expectation. This is a standard Holiday Inn Express. The room was relatively clean, the ice machine was at the end of the hall, and breakfast was well a Holiday Inn Express breakfast. I'm sure there are nicer and more scenic places to stay for the same price. But, this hotel delivers what is expected. The staff was very helpful and nice too.

We spent one night at the Holiday Inn Express during our kid's February vacation. The hotel is located on the main road and is almost directly across from the outlet malls. It is also next to the McDonalds and Hampton Inn.

Our room, a mini suite, was clean and very comfortable. It included a pull out couch, gas fireplace, and comfortable king bed. The bathroom was large and included a large tub. Check-in was easy.

Our kids (6 and 8) immediately decided to take a swim, so we experienced the indoor pool. The pool area is small, but adequate and our kids had a blast. There were other families at the pool and the kids had a blast with an infatable ball.

For dinner, we decided to avoid the typical North Conway lines and took advantage of some very good Indian food at Shalimar of India (thanks tripadvisor). Shalimar was great and we were in and out in less than one hour. Shalimar is about 5 minutes from the hotel.

The breakfast is typical Holiday Inn Express fare and includes: juices, muffins, bagels, hard boiled eggs, small cheese omelets, toast, cereal, milk, etc... For us, the breakfast was fast and just perfect.

We spent the day skiing at Cranmore (tip: buy your Cranmore ticket at 2:00, ski the rest of the day, and then ski the next day on the same ticket).

I have absolutely no complaints with this stay. Next time, we may try the Hampton Inn and the large indoor pool/water park.
