Just returned from a three day stay at the Morning Dove Inn, in the heart of Belmar, NJ.
The location was superb, across from Silver Lake and half a block from the ocean.
We booked the Swan Suite, which was wonderful. It was located in the front of the
house with large windows overlooking the lake and cool breezes streaming in.
This suite had a sunny reading room that was very relaxing. This B & B had some
amenities that we loved, in particular the outdoor showers and a great porch overlooking
the lake. Carol Lee was a gracious hostess and very warm and friendly. There just
isn't anything better than waking up to such a pretty view. Bed was super comfy and
breakfast was good. Coffee make also available all day. Carol's dove cookies
served with iced tea and lemonade each afteroon was an added plus. The house
is surrounded by beautiful flowers and her back garden is breathtaking. Definitely
would return without question perhaps for a longer stay. Our first time staying in
Belmar and the town has great restaurants, boardwalk and plenty to do and see.
