Just came back from a 4 day stay with my family of 4 at the Homewood Suites.
Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. The check-in was quick and the front desk people were polite and helpful. This hotel is close to Manhattan, New York. The NJ transit bus that takes you into the city and the bus stop is only 4 blocks away and comes every 20 minutes on the weekend and more frequently during the week. The round trip costs 8.50$/person. It's free for children under 12 on the weekend. The bus ride takes only 15 minutes to get to Port Authority in Manhattan (close to times square). The hotel shuttle bus will take you to the bus stop. You can also walk to the bus stop it's only a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel.
If you are trying to get to the hotel using your GPS, your need to enter 125 Stanley St. The GPS doesn't recognise the hotels' address. The hotel is very clean and so are the rooms. There are a few brand new stores right out side of the hotel parking lot. (3 restaurants, a dollar store, a grocery store,...). This hotel is great for a business traveler or anyone wanting to visit New York city or go to a the football stadium. There is anything to do around the hotel.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to anyone.

- Good hot and cold breakfast. Replenished on a regular basis;
- Good dinner (includes beer, wine, juice and pop);
- Big rooms and comfortable beds;
- Good exercise room;
- Friendly front desk staff;
- Good size business room;
- Quiet hotel;
- Covenient location to get into the city;
- Good value for the money.
- Wireless internet is real slow. (this should be easy to fix);
- The indoor pool wasn't heated so it was real cold.
Overall this hotel is 4.5. If the internet was faster and the pool was warmer I would rate this hotel a 5 out of 5.
Choose a room away from the elevators.

Thank you very much for reviewing our location, it is truly appreciated! We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed our facilities and that you had a nice stay. In response to your cons, we are aware of of the swimming pool being on the cold side. We recently had an issue with our existing heater failing and have ordered a replacement heater. Hopefully it will be delivered to us in the next five days and it will be installed early next week (week of 3/27/12). In regards to the internet we are currently reviewing our options, currently we have T-1 circuits that are becoming overloaded with the advancement of today's technology. We are working with our vendors on a possible different solution, one of which would be a direct fiber optic circuit into our location. Thank you for your comments and we look forward to your return.
