Best pizza
I agree with others that this place is over-rated. I mean it's PIZZA people. I guess it was OK....nothing that you wont find anywhere else. Not putting it down....just was expecting so much more from the almost 45 min wait to be seated and the reviews on here. PIZZA is PIZZA to me! Sorry...............
I've written about Mack & Manco before, but we were down on Sat. and it was great again. While looking at the line we were a bit dismayed, but we had a counter seat in 3 minutes. People who want chit chat and a lot of conversation with their wait person won't get it. People are giving orders to them, they're trying to help everyone at once, and they do a very good job of taking care of you. Half an hour is nothing for waiting on the boards, if you are staying in town, they'll deliver. Problem solved.
There are three on the boardwalk (7th,9th &12th)and Mack & Manco II in Somers Point. Ninth St. was the first and it's in the epicenter of everything, so you'll get a lot of crowds there. Our server was very well mannered and took care of us in record time.
They are in no way understaffed, and I still like to watch them make pies in record time. Expect a lot of action, it's pizza, not prime rib.
The best!
After hearing good things from friends we decided to try Mack and Manco. Let me tell you, it's overrated. We had to wait in line for a half hour just to get a seat, and once we finally got a table the service was terrible. The waiter there was not pleasant. We asked for Coke and he brought us iced teas, then when he finally brought us the right drinks they were flat. The pizza had barely any cheese on it and it was unevenly distributed, so you get a bite with nothing but sauce and then a bite with nothing but cheese. Apparently the pizzas only cost them 80 cents or so to make, so the $15 price tag is ridiculous if you ask me, and definitely not worth paying. I guess it's the thing to do when you're in Ocean City, but it got old almost immediately.
