We stayed at this hotel as part of our Sesame Place package. If you are planning on doing the same here was my impression of the Amerisuite part of our experience... you can see my review for Sesame Place under the park. We stayed in a TCB suite:

The hotel is not the cleanest place in the world. our bathroom was pretty gross, the table in the suite for dining, as well as the macironi grill menu, were sticky and gross.

Broken glass in the hall was ignored by housekeeping until we pointed it out to management.

the hotel is 15-20 minutes FROM sesame place with no shuttle! so you still have to pay for parking its not included in your package.

The breakfast was short on food that soon ran out due to all the families that were there, with no one really managing the breakfast

The plus was: our bed was clean and comfortable, Thank Goodness for that.

Its not a terriable hotel but its certainly nothing to write home about, we enjoyed eating at the food court at the Marketfair Mall.

My overall recomendation is to skip the package and do your sesame place vacation a la cart.

Booked the room as a package through Sesame Place. Took our two young children. The hotel lobby was nice, it had an aroma of popcorn. (Popcorn maker in the lobby)

For the most part the room was nice. The beds and the room were clean. (NO BEDBUGS AS ONE PERSON MENTIONED, and trust me, I looked EVERYWHERE) One bed, the boxspring was torn. I called the front desk and they were pleasant and said that they could not get a new boxspring at the moment, but they would take care of it.

The bathroom was not kept well. There was mold in many areas of the caulking and in the wallpaper.

The customer service was good. We actually left a day early and they were very accomodating. They even agreed to a refund of the unused night.

The pool was nice. It was relatively clean, and there was no lifegaurd on duty. The ventiliation was not great and it was very warm in the room, but overall acceptable.

The free continental breakfast was fine. Many carbs, but also eggs and sausage.

Overall not the best experience, but it was fine. Without the mold in the bathroom I would have been much happier

OK, bright points first:
1) They had rooms for the otherwise booked-up period of the Princeton Graduation/Reunions week
2) They had some honest staff (Fabiana found a friend's credit card, bagged it and turned it in it with a pair of her earrings)
3) Once things were brought to the manager's attention, they tried to fix them, with a sense of embarassment

Bad things:
1) Dirty rooms: as in, really dirty. We checked in too tired to think coherently. The next morning, when we inspected the room in daylight, my wife was first alarmed by the presence of mold in the bathrooms (see picture) and then more alarmed when she found thong underwear that wasn't hers and hadn't traveled in my bag to get there on the floor at the base of the bed when she came out of the shower...
DIdn't want to think too much about how it got there or how it got left there; took a digital picture, went to the desk, asked for the manager, showed it to him and explained that I didn't think it would fit either me or her. He had the room double cleaned, but how did it end up there after the room had been cleaned and turned in the first place?
2) Simple maintenance gets overlooked; the lobby soared to about 90 degrees before I walked over to the thermostat; it was flashing 'lo bat", as in low battery. I had to tell the desk clerk what it meant and then explain to the maintenance guy that with a new battery, it would work again.
3) Staff has no idea about events that come every year. When called, they said there was no shuttle bus to the Princeton Campus during Reunions. Once we got there, there was a yellow shuttle running every 15 minutes to hotels up and down Route 1.

In brief:
Stay here only if you must.
Better yet; book some other hotel that's higher rated in Princeton for your own Reunions or Graduation rather further in advance....

The hotel has a nice lobby. Hallways smell stale like a cigarette. Rooms are clean but decor is quite cheesy, Beds uncomfortable. TV only has a few channels most poor quality. Staff is pretty good but gets confused with corporate bookings. Continental breakfast is an A+. Overall neutral. Would stay here again, but rather find a nicer place.

Was a bit nervous about my reservations at this Amerisuites, after reading the recent reviews on TripAdvisor. Did obtain a free night with my Hyatt Gold passport points, but was not disappointed. The lobby did not smell of smoke...which I am highly sensative to.

Check in was smooth and easy. Very friendly, courteous staff.

Room was a bit smaller than other Amerisuite rooms I've stayed in previously, but clean none the less.

I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.
