First of all, I got my poolside villa at a tremendously discounted travel industry rate. The original room charges are frankly not exhorbitant at all, so I'd have to say I got a steal.
The villa is located smack in the middle of Seminyak, home of the best restaurants in Bali (Ku De Ta, la Lucciola, Oberoi, Warung Made etc). It is not big, with I'd say about 30 villas in total. Quaint on the outside, luxurious on the inside.
The reception staff you first meet are very friendly and helpful, speaking good English and have a good sense of humour. The kitchen and other service staff are also nice, and equally helpful.
The rooms come with everything you'd want (which is expected for a Villa, duh) - Plasma / LDC TV with a big range of cable TV channels, microwave oven, kitchen, big refrigerator, sofa...
Then there's the small attached pool (which for me was underutilised), beach chairs, dining table, large comfy bed... bathtub, and indoor and outdoor (!) shower heads.
You can also enjoy yourself at the small spa room there. You'd have to book an appointment beforehand - and these ladies are most likely contracted from elsewhere. Nothing special, but still okay.
During my stay, the staff was always helpful, assisting with (free) transport arrangements to Jimabaran and also with booking of restaurants, helping to hire private drivers and assisting to plan our itenarary.
In summary, the rooms and facilities were definitely up to standard and the service un-faultable, for a very reasonable price. All you could ever ask for a relaxing trip to Bali.
