My wife and I stayed here for a week whilst visiting our family in Rochester. The hotel is well situated and despite the nearby expressway is fairly quiet. They do a good inclusive breakfast with hot and cold food. There is a pool - great for the grandchildren. The rooms are large, comfortable, well furnished and clean as you would expect. The staff are friendly and helpful. We'd stay there again.

Room tip: Get one on the back away from the expressway.

We were here for a NYSPHAA swim meet. 40 swimmers, coaches and families. They didn't even flinch the first morning at breakfast when the "boys" ate breakfast. Feeding a swimmer meet mornings is like feeding a meat eating cow!!! The woman just kept bringing food out!!! Rooms are rather large, clean and comfortable. HI as a chain could stand to upgrade their mattresses. Convenient to many restaurants and shopping. Thanks for being so accomodating. Highly recommend!!!!

Stayed Friday, Oct. 25th. Nice location part of a large shopping mall for you shoppers. The reception staff were friendly, helpful and informative. Breakfast was really good, and eventhought there was a couple of young hockey teams, there was still adequate food that was replenished regularly.

Please change the awful stained carpets, or at least steam clean them properly, had to wear shoes in the room.

Thank you so much for providing feedback regarding your stay with us. We do love having Macy's Sears, SuperTarget and Marshall's all within walking distance. We stayed here for the weekend during our fishing trip out of the Port of Rochester. It was about 10 minutes from our dock so it was a perfect location. There is a shopping center across the road and several restaurants close by.

We were upgraded to a suite, but don't be fooled and don't pay if you are given the option. The only thing special about the suite was that it contained a couch in lieu of another bed. The room was exactly the same size of the others.

The service was good, but I didn't need much other than a few extra towels. The room was made up and clean each day. The breakfast was supposed to start at 7, but since we were leaving so early in the morning, they let us sneak a few snacks for the road at 530.

I recommend staying here. It was the right price for what we wanted.

Room tip: Don't bother paying for an upgrade. If they have it fine.

Thank you so much time for your feedback. We are glad that the staff was able to accomodate you by providing breakfast early. Some of our larger families and groups such as yours love our featured room with the pullout sofa bed, sitting area and refrigerator and microwave which can accomodate up to six guests when our standard room can accomodate up to four guests. We do hope to see you again on your next fishing trip!!!

We have stayed in many HIE (especially on this 3 week trip), plus we are Priority Club Members, and this was THE worst place. Lets ignore that it is very old and get on to the problems. I made the reservations 4 months in advance for a King, no smoking room. We arrived at 4pm, and were NOT told they didn't have that room, but were just given a room with 2 double beds and it was a SMOKING room!!!!! Went back down and the clerk told looked at me like I was the problem. I stood there quiet for about 20 minutes while he typed, checked, had multiple "no, can't do it", then I asked for the manager who wasn't around, and no one seemed to find her or care. Finally she came, and she was nice and apologetic. I pointed out the Trip Advisor "best" award hanging on the wall and told her I can make that go away.... She did switch someone else, but we had to settle on a queen bed. OK, now for the room. AC didn't work well, floor upstairs was noisy - heard footsteps all night. There were only 2 -3 outlets in the room, 2 used but he clock, light, etc. So it was impossible to charge phones etc. We travel w a multiplug, but that was impossible to use as the outlets were underneath furniture.

Room tip: Stay somewhere else- town is old and businesses closed -
