The number one reason to stay here is the location. The view of the Caldera is great and you can quickly get to Oia on foot or with a car. You can hike up the nearby hill for even better views if you are so inclined.
We were a family of 4 adults and a child so we had a family appartment that could easily sleep six. It had a small kitchen so you could save some money and eat here if you wished. The beds were hard and the overall room was not remarkable. But at least you had room to move around.
Breakfast was not served until 0830. Which is very late for us, being early risers. It was plain and also not remarkable. But it was good enough and I have no complaints.
We arranged to be picked up at the airport and get a rental car on the hotel property. I figured that for 170 Euro a night being picked up would be included. Nope. Add another 35 Euro each way. Just pick up your rental car at the airport and save the money. Even if you have to squeeze in, no distances are far on Santorini.
But it was nice to get the car at the hotel and it was easy to leave it there when we were done.
In April there isn't much to do on Santorini. Places are just beginning to open for the season and things don't really get going until 1 May. But there weren't crowds either.
When the wind wasn't blowing it was shorts weather. But when the wind picked up, or after the sun set, it was winter coat time in April. Many people were not expecting that. Since we came from Germany we had our coats and were glad of it.
We really liked Santorini and this was a nice place. For a night or two, go all out and stay someplace with a view. But for a longer stay I would stay further back in a place that was much cheaper and would just drive up to see the sunsets and such.
