Firstly let me say that we had a great time at Cosmopolitan Suites. The staff are friendly and the views are amazing (as per all the other reviews).

But...

1) There are not enough sun loungers for everyone staying in the hotel. There are 10 rooms (20 people) and only 6 sun loungers! There are some deck chairs but these are very uncomfortable.

2) The bathrooms are sub-standard. We stayed in two rooms and both were the same. The shower head didn't fit into it's fitting and so you couldn't use it as a shower!

3) Fira is a bit tacky. There are tons of kebab houses, burger places etc. There are nice restaurants too where you can see the view. But watch out for the restaurant with the cute little lamps on every table - it's stupidly expensive!

A beautiful hotel kept by great people providing very efficient service. We loved the view, the pool, the breakfast, the room (cleaned up twice a day), the mobile phone to contact them in case of emergency, the proximity of Fira, the helpful instructions for sightseeing, the discret but efficient presence of the hotel's staff. Definitely, one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at.

We stayed at Cosmopolitan Hotel during the last leg of our European honeymoon. We arrived about 8pm after a long day of travel. We were greeted by a porter (I forgot his name, but he was awesome) who carried (I literally mean carried) our luggage up to the hotel. When we saw the view we knew that this was going to be an excellent experience. The staff was absolutely fantastic. They made recommendations on resturants, beaches, clubs. My husband was even allowed to use their computer to make a quick internet check. Breakfast, either outside or in your room, was great...yougurt, coffee, pastries, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice, cheese & meats. The hotel is close to all the stores in Fira & a quick walk to the cable cars. The beaches are on the other side of the island, but "no worries" reception will call a taxi for you. We will never forget our experience and urge all those to please stay here, you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

I have to admit- these reviews do not do the Cosmopolitan Suites justice. My wife and I stayed there recently (in April) as a part of our honeymoon, and we stayed at several others around Santorini. If you want to be close to the best restaurants, shopping, view, and activities in Santorini (aside from going to the beach), stay here in Fira. We stayed in other "top rated" hotels from Trip advisor, and none held a candle to this place. The breakfast (included) was incredible- a priceless view with sides of fresh fruits, yogurts, delicious pain au chocolats, french press coffee, breads, butter, and fresh squeezed orange juice. The infinity pool makes you feel like your swimming on top of the world. This hotel is quiet and affords you the opportunity to enjoy the tranquility of Santorini without having to hassle with cabs or renting a car just to do basic things such as eating. It is a shame their website does not publish more photos because this place is truly worth much more than the price. You can not go wrong with any of the "small luxury hotels of the world," especially the cosmopolitan suites. We're already planning our next trip...
