This review has been a long time coming. I can't believe I took so long to finally write in. My husband and I stayed at the Olde Rhinebeck Inn for our honeymoon back in May. We decided to use the Inn as a home base for exploring New York. We couldn't have picked a more wonderful location.
The inn itself is absolutely charming. We stayed in the Plow and Harrow room, which was spacious, although the ceilings were slightly short in places for my 6'2" husband. He certainly didn't mind, however. It definitely added to the charm. Our location was perfect; we felt part of the household, and yet somewhat secluded from the other Guests. Jonna was right in suggesting this particular room.
The best part of the stay was Jonna, and the service she provided. Not only did she welcome us as if we were long lost friends, we felt completely taken care of the entire stay. One morning during our stay, we decided to leave extra early to catch the train into the city. She prepared a wonderful cold breakfast that she stocked in the room the night before so that we wouldn't leave hungry. This is just one example of how pampered we felt during our stay.
We will always remember our stay in Rhinebeck, from the wonderful restaurants (highly recommend Calico Restaurant and Patisserie) to the Memorial Day parade we had the opportunity to witness.
We were very sorry to leave Rhinebeck and the Olde Rhinebeck Inn and return to the "real world". This is definitely a trip that neither of us will ever forget.
