I stayed at the Olde Rhinebeck Inn from 8/10/07 to 8/12/07 with my wife and 2 friends. We had a marvelous time and were delighted with the accommodations and the personal attention that we received from Jonna, the innkeeper. Our room was decorated with antiques and vintage pieces as well as folk art touches. There were great amenities, including a remote-control air conditioner, TV, CD player, refrigerator with complimentary beverages and plush bathrobes. The room had a balcony overlooking the pond and the lawns. Our bathroom was large, had a Jacuzzi and great decorative touches such as a painted mirror and an Edwardian washstand. The towels were luxurious.
I should also mention the fabulous breakfasts prepared by Jonna. These included scones, fresh fruit, an incredible frittata, turnovers and a remarkable pear-custard pancake.
Jonna is a wonderful host and has a great sense of humor. She made us feel like guests in her home and not just tourists. She was also very helpful with restaurant reservations, directions and information about tours of historic houses.
An added bonus was the presence of Strudel, a long-haired dachshund, who is the beloved pet of the house, 2 ducks, chickens and 2 goats.
We can't recommend the Inn highly enough.
