Excellent service from Kevin, excellent food (prime rib, Veal French), excellent drinks, excellent everything. We went on a Sunday evening and were surprised at how many others there were dining on a Sunday--usually quiet at most restaurants . The food was hot, perfectly served -- and they know that you don't take one person's dishes away until everyone at the table was done. Portion sizes were just right and all dinners include ice cream or sherbet. There are two dining rooms, we were seated at the back of the one containing the bar, which was separated from the dining area by a glass wall. We had view of the entire room, so could see that the tables around us were also receiving excellent service and their dinners looked wonderful The only improvement Grinnell's could make would be arranging the bar TVs so that they aren't a distraction -- but it's minor issue. I was surprised at the number of customers in T-shirts, which really seemed out of the place for the main crowd and the more formal atmosphere. We loved the valet parking as well: we left the car at the door and waited inside for its return when we left. Reservations required; dinner for 2 with drinks + 20% tip was about $90.
