We stayed here for one night in July and will never return. We expected the room to be standard, but clean. It was absolutely disgusting. Their were huge black spots on the ceiling, the bathroom was dirty, the door knobs had grime on them and the carpets were worn. In addition to the room being small, there was a huge air conditioning unit jutting out into the room. It was almost like they forgot to install the unit and put it in as an afterthought.

The one positive is that the beds were comfortable.

This establishment is not worthy of being called a "Hilton."

This hotel was totally renovated in 2006. There are no worn carpets in the building, the heating and cooling unit is covered by wall furniture that incorporates a bench seat under the window in the standard rooms. The cleanliness of the rooms is regularly inspected to ensure the standard is being met or exceeded.
If a guest has a great stay ,tell everyone, if there is a problem, tell us, so we can fix it.

“disgusting room-less than helpful manager who obviously hates his job”

The Saratoga Hilton

7 Jul 2008

I booked a room for 2 nights, with a late arrival on the first night. I was expecting a clean, modest, non-smoking room. The first thing I noticed when I unlocked the door was the odor, then I realized they had given us a room that was handicap accessible, -- designed to accomadate someone in a wheelchair. The bathroom was just a large tile box with a shower and a drain in the middle of the floor. The
odor in the room can only be described as stale smoke embedded in the carpet and walls, there was a large dark stain on the camel colored bedspread and since there was only one nightstand by the kingsize bed , the phone, alarm clock and tissues were on the dirty carpet beside the bed. When we went to talk to the manager he said the handicapped room was the only room available, and that "it wasn't his fault if the person who had the room before us had smoked." He said we could move to a different room the following day and offered to take $100.00 off that nights rate. The room was so disgusting that I would have easily sacrificed the discounted rate for a regular, clean room. I made my reservation over a month in advance and never would have stayed at the Hilton had I known they
would have pulled such a "bait and switch" tactic. Substandard room -substandard manager.

At the Saratoga Hilton we strive to provide our guest's with the utmost in hospitality. A clean comfortable room is a standard. If a guest is unhappy with their room we would of course fix the problem or offer to move them to another room based on availability.
Feed back and input from our guest's are always appreciated and used to evaluate the operation and improve the area's in need. We sincerely thank our guest's for providing us an opportunity to make changes that will make a difference.

“Nice staff, spiders in my room!”

Staten Island, New York

I stayed at this hotel for a conference recently. The minute I pulled infront of the parking lot entrance, a hotel employee took charge of my belongings, unloaded them from my van, and politely told me where the front desk was. I parked my car, and met him at the front desk. Check-in was fast and easy. Nice staff. Same hotel employee took all my belongings to my room, and set everything up. He was very polite. In fact, all hotel staff is very nice. Facilities are adequate and food was great. Restaurant in the hotel lobby is a bit pricey but I heard it does have really good reputation in the area. Now, here my problems:

1. Loud heating/air conditioning unit. Can't sleep with the unit "on".
2. Spiders in the room. I was able to count (but not catch!) three spiders in the room at one time.
3. Bed was not as comfortable as other hilton hotels. Most Hampton Inns have better and more comfortable beds.

Besides these little issues, my stay was a pleasure. Saratoga Springs is a very nice town with lots of attractions and shopping. I suggest this hotel for a nice weekend getaway in Saratoga Springs.

Saratoga Hotel's chef, Steve, provided over-the-top attention to my complicated dietary needs during the three-day conference I attended. No mistakes were made (a first in my experience at conferences) and he was both gracious and attentive. The wait staff were equally attentive. Thank you!
