We stayed for three days. The room was clean and very well appointed with a kitchenette and a balcony. Refreshments and facilities were made available 24 hours a day (microwave, snacks, beverages, etc). Extra bedding and towels provided as needed. The bathroom was beautiful, large, and lots of hot water in the shower; it does not have a bathtub.
A simple bakery located next door served coffee and pastries, but nothing substantial. If you are going to Europa Park, then I recommend eating at SWR3 Cafe within the park entrance; we had delicious juice and coffee/tea, meat and cheese plate, and plenty of delicious breads, butter, and jams were given to us, which we snacked on throughout the day.
There were so many benefits to staying at this hotel: a wonderful garden with a gazebo right next to the fenced off river (the River Elz was very peaceful); plenty of toys for kids of all ages including two foosball tables, badminton, and a Frisbee; several outdoor seating options; a five minute walk to any ATM, restaurant, or even Europa park; and plenty of free, off-street parking right outside your balcony. Even the rate for staying multiple nights was a bargain. While our room had one double bed and a pull-out sofa, other rooms in the hotel had two floors with additional twin beds (sleeps up to 8 people).
The only drawback is that breakfast was not served in the large dining room as we previously thought. Not even worth mentioning except it was advertised that breakfast was available upon booking the room.
You will have to pay 1.50 euros per night per person for a city tax, but this is well worth it. Rust (a lovely village) is improving the streets and the 1-day free parking at the park is well worth the fee; we used this on the last day in the area instead of parking at the hotel. Be sure to show your "ticket" (which you receive upon hotel check-in) at the Europa Park info center on the first day. They will give you a souvenir book of the park, which is great for planning your day (much easier to read than the tiny map you get for free). This book normally cost 3 euros at a souvenir shop.
A wonderful hotel located in a beautiful village near a fantastic theme park.
