I recently returned from a "best friends fall foliage peeping" trip. We stayed at a many of types of accomadations from New York to the Smoky Mountains. And this was by far the best little place we stayed in. The attention to detail in this little Inn was above and beyond any high class establishment. They beds were covered with homemade quilts and cordinating sheets with plenty of soft fluffy pillows for every one. Scented candles in sconces made the place smell wonderful and the towels were washed with regular detergent and smelled great, unlike the sterile commerical detergent the big chains use. It was a real pleasant stay, the gardens and gazebos were a great way to enjoy the mountain air and peace of mountain life. The room felt more like a bedroom in a cozy home, and that was a real treat after staying in the less than sanitary chained owned Hotels or Inns. The town of Blowing Rock is a real treat in the mountain, I highly recommend if you can get a room in this Inn that you take it. I had the most enjoyable stay inside the room as well as outside relaxing on the front porch in rocking chairs or sitting in the gazebo in their gardens. And the Inn Keepers are truly great people, very kind, helpful and most hospitable. This is truly a great place run by truly classy people. I wouldn't stay in any other place in this quaint little town!
