The owners of Land Creek Cabins are very friendly and attentive to the renters needs. We stayed in the Coyote Cabin. It was wonderful. The cabin was laid out well, beds were very comfortable and it was very clean. It comoftably housed all 5 of us, two adults and three teen boys. Outside of our cabin was a fire pit and a hot tub. Our youngest couldn't wait to take advantage of the hot tub. The hot tub was very well maintained and need I say ...relaxing. We took advantage of the fire pit every night and on one night roasted marshmallows and made samores. The fire pit overlooked a ravine. The property is very well maintained and clean. The cabins are about 10 to 15 minutes from downtown Bryson City and about 20 minutes from the Deep Creek portion of the Smoky Mountains. Bryson City is a quaint and very friendly community. While exploring Bryson City I highly suggest you stop into "Cork and Bean" for a crepe and a cup of coffee or in the late afternoon/ early evening for a glass of wine. We ate there twice during our trip and both times the food and service were excellent; even my picky eater loved this place. Oh and they even have gluten free crepes, a plus for me. The Deep Creek portion of the Smoky Mountains is beautiful and a great place to spend a beautiful fall day. There are three waterfalls and numerous trails. Some of the trails however are very strenuous so be prepared if it looks like the trail is going up the side of a mountain, it is. As for the three wateralls, the Tom's Branch Falls is visible across Deep Creek, 0.2 miles from the parking lot this is an easy walk. If you continue for about a half mile along Deep Creek, crossing a bridge you will come to Indian Creek a bit further down on your left, this is an easy to moderate walk. Back at the parking lot, on the right is a sign and trail leading to Juneywhank Falls, which is about 0.3 miles up the side of a mountain which is a moderate to strenuous short hike. This fall can also be reached via a trail and is a moderate to strenuous hike from within the park.
